LOCATION - I have lived in Silk Willoughby for over 40 years.

FAMILY - I have 3 children, all educated locally, but now living all over the place! I also have 3 grandchildren.

PERSONAL - Until five years ago I was headteacher of a local primary school. Now I am retired but still have some involvement in Teacher Training.

FULL NAME - Mrs Maureen Burrell

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - I take minutes at Full Governing Body and Committee meetings and deal with administrative work in connection with the Governing Body.

LOCATION - I have lived in Quadring for 35 years with my husband Peter who attended the school many years ago.

FAMILY - I have one child, Stephanie, who attended the school from 1996 to 2002, then went to Spalding High School

PERSONAL - We have a small farm on the outskirts of the village.

LOCATION - I have lived in Osbournby village for the past 6 years.

FAMILY - I am married with 2 children

PERSONAL - I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1990 and have been working with children ever since.

Due to my husband being in the RAF we moved around a lot and have lived in many different places including Cyprus. After moving to Lincolnshire in 2010 and my daughter starting high school we decided to put down roots and buy our first house. I started working in Orchard class at Quadring Primary school in April 2012.

FULL NAME – Mrs Bev Gromett

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – Governor for EYFS

DATE OF APPOINTMENT – November 2016

GOVERNOR COMMITTEE – I am part of the Standards Committee, helping to monitor the educational performance of the pupils within the school.

LOCATION – I have lived in Quadring since 2008 when we moved to the area to start our family.

FAMILY – I am married and have 2 children, one of which attends the school and the other attends the nursery class and is due to start full time next September.

PERSONAL – I am a qualified teacher and taught for 7 years in key stage 1. Since 2012 I have worked in preschool settings working in early year’s education.

FULL NAME - Mr James Kelwick

CATEGORY OF GOVERNOR - Co-opted Governor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - As Head teacher, I report to and attend all committee and full governor meetings.

APPOINTING BODY - Quadring Cowley & Brown’s School Governors

DATE OF APPOINTMENT - Staff Governor: March 2013-August 2015, Headteacher: Sept 2015 - present

GOVERNOR COMMITTEE - I sit on both the Resource and Standards Committees where I present information concerning educational performance of the school and pupils and ensure that policies are introduced and implemented in school.

LOCATION - I have lived in Sleaford since 2007 having relocated from Lincoln.

FAMILY - I am married with a young daughter who arrived in December 2015.

PERSONAL - I began teaching in 2006 at Osbournby Primary school and remained there for 4 years. In February 2010, I moved to Manor Leas Junior Academy in Lincoln where I taught Year 6 and Year 3. I moved to Quadring CB Primary for the start of the 2011/12 year where I have been since, being appointed Assistant Head in 2014 and then Head teacher in September 2015.

FULL NAME – Ms Melanie Steggar

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – Health and Safety

APPOINTING BODY - Quadring Cowley & Brown’s School Governors.

DATE OF APPOINTMENT – Parent Governor: 2010-2015, Co-opted Governor: 2015-present

GOVERNOR COMMITTEE –  I sit on the Resources Committee overseeing the financing and staffing at the school.

LOCATION - I have lived in Quadring and have been a parent at the school since 2002.

FAMILY - My partner Andy and I have four children, all of whom have attended Quadring CB Primary.

PERSONAL – I am passionate about education and child welfare. I work in a local pre-school. In a previous life, I was a hairdresser and tutor. The local community is a great place to be a part of and I strive to keep it that way

FULL NAME – Reverend Ian Walters

CATEGORY OF GOVERNOR – Ex Officio Governor

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – Vice Chair of Governors and Chair of Resources Committee.

APPOINTING BODY - Quadring Cowley & Brown’s School Governors.

DATE OF APPOINTMENT – April 2006

GOVERNOR COMMITTEE –  I chair the Resources Committee which is a sub-committee of the main governing body. This committee oversees finances, buildings and staffing.

LOCATION - I live in Gosberton and am the Vicar of Quadring, Gosberton and Gosberton Clough.  As well as overseeing the spiritual needs of the parishes and the local parish churches, I am required to serve as a trustee of some local charities including the Cowley & Brown’s Charities.

FAMILY - I have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren, I of whom is a pupil at the school.

PERSONAL –  I love photography and local history and am a member of the local history society. I used to own and a fly a small 1940’s aircraft kept at RAF Cranwell. I was brought up on a farm and love the countryside. I want others to get the best out of living in the area, and helped set up the local community action team last year.

FULL NAME - Mrs Kay Wood

CATEGORY OF GOVERNOR - Co-opted Governor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - I work alongside my Partner Governor Mrs. Lorimer as Orchard Class Governors. We liaise closely with Mrs. Luffman and Mrs. Devine and keep up to date with events, the curriculum and children in EYFS. I also act as a mentor for new governors.

GOVERNOR COMMITTEE - I sit on the Standards Committee and we help to monitor the educational performance of the school and pupils, whilst ensuring that the vision and ethos of the school are maintained.

LOCATION - I have lived in Quadring for sixteen and a half years. We moved here from Halifax in West Yorkshire.

FAMILY - I have 4 children, two of whom attended the school and 3 grandchildren, the youngest is now just 7 weeks old!

PERSONAL - I began to teach part time at Quadring 15 years ago and then took up a full time post. On leaving full time teaching I now work on a zero hours contract and help out at school whenever I can. I love all sport, am a keen walker and am a firm believer in children learning by experience especially from the outdoors!
