Take a look at the special visitor we had in Orchard Class this week!

We had an amazing visit from Zoolab - we met "Buttercup" the corn snake, "Elvis" the Tarantula, "Honey" the Gecko and "Princess Katie" the rat. All of our children so brave and focused on the whole session.

Take a look at our brilliant bird paintings. We used teddies of the real bird to look carefully at the colours and patterns. Great work everyone!

We were so lucky to see the fly over for the practice of the King's Coronation! Check out our school video channel for videos of what the children saw!

Our Topic for Term 5 is "Julia Donaldson"

Learning about money - recognising different coins and counting up totals of 1p and 2p coins.

Our Topic for Term 4 is... "Plants and Minibeasts"

Creating symmetrical butterflies on an i-pad after listening to "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle.

Doubling the spots on a symmettrical butterfly before writing the calculation.

Our Topic for Term 3 is... Dinosaurs!

Kung Hei Fat Choy - Happy Chinese New Year! The year of the Rabbit 2023

We became Paleontologists for the afternoon - Look what we found! Great fun whilst learning lots!

We used non-fiction books to find our dinosaurs and look up their names. The children all looked very carefully at the specific details and features of their dinosaurs.

"The Little Red Hen" was one of our stories this week which we used as the basis for our Harvest assembly song. The children chose their own words and actions which we put to the tune of a well known rhyme. The children sang and performed it brilliantly - we are sure you will agree!

Take a look at our first PE lesson where Team Races were the main focus! The children were fantastic at changing independently and also showed excellent balancing skills during our lesson starter.

Orchard Class have celebrated the life of Queen Elizabeth II and been looking at just what it means for our country. Look at their super creations!
