We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, innovative and passionate Reception class teacher on a full time, permanent contract for our EYFS Class. You will be joining a hardworking, dedicated and motivated team of staff who are keen to lead our successful school forward. We are a child-centred and inclusive school, with high-quality teaching and learning at its core.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
You will be required:
- to implement and deliver high quality teaching and learning for all pupils, following the EYFS Framework requirements and in line with the curriculum policies of the school.
- to be responsible for facilitating, supporting and monitoring the overall progress and development of all pupils, maintaining high standards and professionalism at all times.
- to foster a stimulating and creative learning environment and educational experience, which provides pupils with the opportunity to fulfil their individual potential and is conducive to the good management of teaching and learning.
- to set high expectations for pupils’ behaviour and maintain a good standard of discipline through well focused teaching, fostering positive relationships and implementing the school’s positive behaviour policy.
- to support the school’s policy on inclusion and to assist in the identification and teaching of children with additional needs within the class.
- to foster our school values and ethos and be a proactive member of the staff team in building on its current strengths and moving the school forward.
- to maintain high standards of safeguarding for all children and always follow the school’s policies and procedures, having regard for health and safety.
- to direct, support and supervise the work of Teaching Assistants in the EYFS classroom.
- to co-operate and liaise with other professionals, including fellow staff and colleagues from external agencies.
- to leading a non-core subject where relevant.
- to complete and submit relevant on entry and end of year assessments as expected in the EYFS.
