Teaching Asssistant post 1-1 SEN support 

 

30 hours per week based on 39 weeks per year 

 

Hours of work    Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 3.15 pm school term only plus training days 

Salary                  scale G3 -6 £24026 pro rata actual salary based on 30 hours £19,991 approximately (pending pay award)

Closing date        2nd April 2025

Start date:            As soon as possible

The main purpose of this role is to support a child with an EHCP and liase with school staff to ensure the best possible outcome for the child in our setting

The main duties of this role will include supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, supporting the learning of the individual child and helping to fulfill the requirements of the EHCP, personal behaviour support plans and individual targets . In addition there will be small group intervention work for academic, emotional  and social wellbeing. 

Helping to support positive play at lunchtimes and supporting the development of friendships. children 

The ideal candidate will have the following strengths:

.Who can build effective relationships

.Able to make learning fun and engaging

.Able to support the class teacher and work within a team, with excellent communication skills 

.To enable children to be the best they can be and to reach their true potential 

You will be required to complete additional training , work with outside agencies and colleagues in order to provide the very best for the child .
